Oil Tank & Fuel Care

Oil Tank

We no longer provide our oil tank replacement service but use a trusted partner whose sole business is replacement tanks. We will put you in touch if the need arises.

As part of our annual boiler service, your oil tank is thoroughly inspected, together with its base and location, in-line with OFTEC standards.

We can supply/replace:

  • Oil tank monitors installed or replaced (Watchman / Apollo), so you can keep an eye on your precious contents, thus avoiding breakdowns to your boiler.
  • Replacement caps.

Fuel Care

We provide a range of fuel additives. What are the benefits of a fuel additive?

  • Cleaning

‘Clean up’ and ‘keep clean’ are at the root of most of our multifunctional packages for both open flame and internal combustion system enhancement.

But ‘cleaning’, however, encompasses much more. Problem-solving products, used in conjunction with fuel preservation and tank cleaning products, achieves an all-round fue ‘polishing’ effect.

  • Economy

Fuel economy in any system or equipment, can be achieved by maintaining the equipment at its factory setttings or design parameters.

Fuel additives that slow down or even stop the rate in which the equipment gets dirty or fouls up all aid fuel economy. Maintaining fuel in storage may also achieve this.

  • Maintenance

Fuel additive products used for maintenance are diverse, ranging from the one-off rapid injector cleaning additives to fuel soluble biocide, including tank cleaning and associated products.

  • Performance

When you think of fuel performance, it often conjures images of faster, more powerful or economical. And all of these can be achieved with the appropriate fuel additives.

Fuel additives can impact fuel in storage, its handling properties and the harmful effects it can have on components within the fuel system, both before and after the combustion process.

Additives Robinsons supply

Premium heating oil additive

Can be used to create a premium-grade fuel for use in domestic kerosene.

  • Lowers carbon emissions
  • Stabilises fuel – increases its shelf-life
  • Inhibits sludge formationΩ
  • Reduces deposit build-up around nozzles and on heat exchanger surfaces
  • Reduces service problems
  • Improves system efficiency

One 200ml bottle treats 1000 litres.

Kerosene lubricity additive

For use in domestic and commercial systems, added to your fuel, helps protect fuel pumps from excessive wear. Not suitable for use if you have a vapourising appliance connected to your tank.

  • Forms a protective film on metal surfaces
  • It creates a barrier to reduce contact, friction and wear
  • It prolongs equipment life

One 200ml bottle treats 1000 litres.

Cooker additive

Cooker is an additive specially designed for range-style cookers and boilers that still use vapourising burners, such as Aga and Rayburn.

  • Cooker lowers char value
  • This fuel additive reduces the build-up of carbon deposits and soot
  • It inhibits the growth of deposits in fuel storage tanks
  • Minimises the potential for fuel tank corrosion
  • Increases the fuel shelf life
  • Reduces service problems
